Decorating with Bright Colors

Decorating with Bright Colors

Decorating with bright colors is fun! The trick is how to do it right. When playing with color I like to keep it simple. In this vignette simple means sticking to pink and gold as the bright colors. The neutral white fluffy pillow and grey throw from HomeGoods neutralize the brightness on the sofa. Gold accents on the coffee table and lamp (also from HomeGoods) continue to simplify the space so your eyes aren't overwhelmed by all the pattern play and color.

To unify this colorful space I used white faux fur. You will notice the placement of faux fur is scattered yet balanced around this living room. It helps to neutralize the bold color and patterns of the pillows while creating an atmosphere that's fun and refreshing! All our faux fur pieces are from HomeGoods.

This bright and happy spot works on so many decorating levels! I kept the room balanced by having the neutral white and grey theme through out the room. Then the whole space was sprinkled with pink! And I didn't forget texture. This cozy white faux fur pillow and white pom-pom pillow are perfectly placed and are from HomeGoods.

In this room the pop of bright color from 2 pillows is accentuated by the grey and white colors surrounding them. White is a bright color too. In this case it is positioned on every surface in this room. The white coffee table (from HomeGoods) helps visually in making this vignette feel complete and anchors the space.

Isn't this abstract painting fabulous! This piece has beautiful bright colors. I hadn't realized that HomeGoods had original works done by artists. Lots of color! It works here because of the neutral background. Sponsored by HomeGoods
