Accent Pieces for the Fun of It

I love finding different and unusual accent pieces. Decor that makes you smile, or take a second look at. I have been wanting to use natural tree stumps as decor in my home. I thought it would be especially fun for fall decor when leaves and pumpkins fill my home. 

In my town we have areas where tree trimmers leave tree stumps for recycling. So I had them available. Then I read up on how you have to treat them before bringing them into your home! I definitely didn't want little insect critters in the stump! So I put this idea on hold. 

I was so surprised to find a tree stump (ceramic) at HomeGoods! It looks so real! And no bugs to worry about! Now I can't wait to decorate with it this fall and winter. I love having this little accent piece of whimsy in my home. Sponsored by HomeGoods
