2 Ladies Mantel Style

Recently we at 2 Ladies decided to give this mantel a makeover with a fresh coat of paint. Of course after that we had to go looking for new decor to restyle it with.

HomeGoods had a fantastic inspiration board. While we usually think of inspiration boards in the office, why not have one above the mantel? We needed something tall and simple so it wouldn't distract the eye from everything else we want up there. It also makes it simple to put up prints seasonally or for holidays.

Right now we have the mantel "dressed" for early spring. Our simple HomeGoods clear vase is perfect for the tulips but can pull double duty with a candle in it as well. We were very excited to pick up the dark mustard yellow metal plant stand at HomeGoods too! What a find! It adds much needed texture and color to the vignette.   

We couldn't leave the store without the grey "birdie" pillow. It adds a touch of whimsy and gives that nod to spring. It is comfortably filled with feathers and the bonus is when you flip it around it becomes a beautiful solid grey pillow with white piping.
